Genuine Nile crocodile skin (juvenile)
Two tone blue gloss.
The way to tell the skin is Croc rather than Gator is by the ISO pores that are visible (integumentary sensory organ pore). Alligators don’t have the ISO pores.
ISO pores appear as a small dot or pore where the hair has fallen out of on each Scute (scale). Having said that, the skin may be sanded and or skived thinner making the skin less prone to splits /cracks etc. Along with thining, the ISO pore becomes less visible especially when dyed or painted a non natural colour.
Underside is cowhide for comfort.
Flat and smooth down the length.
Note from Rob – Shop manager: painted blue to achieve high gloss. Blue will scratch unless you take care. I suggest you keep for your best watch and only use occasionally. If you do not agree to this then do not purchase this strap as no warranty on ‘wear and tear’ scratches etc. Choose clasp for longevity instead of buckle as buckle will scratch into blue each time it is fastened.
Thickness – 2.6mm
Taper – 20mm to 16mm, 21 to 18mm, 22mm to 18mm.
Choice of buckle or clasp in Silver, Gold, Black, Rose Gold (buckle may differ from photos).
We recommended fitting a clasp with this strap. Less wear and tear with a clasp than a buckle.
Note: as of February 2024 clasp strap and buckle strap will have buckle prong. Not needed for clasp that is fitted but is good if you wanted to fit your brand name clasp that utiilise the buckle prong as some brand name clasps do. Basically the clasp option will have a small slot in middle of lug that is not used for this particular clasp and cannot be seen when fastened.
