Fit the Clasp
This page will be helpful for those fitting a clasp for the first time in place of a standard buckle.
The advantages of using a clasp instead of a buckle is that the clasp is fitted to sizing prong once only. No need to keep removing by pulling on strap to remove like you would do with a buckle.
By fitting a Clasp you will extend the longevity of the leather and is the main reason we offer clasps on more expensive and exotic leather straps.
- Lift up oval side of tab to access sizing prong
- Place strap through and above prong
- Fit to prong that best matches your wrist size
- Close tab (no need to ever open again unless to adjust size)
- Fit to wrist by threading excess strap through ‘keepers’
- Unfasten and remove from wrist by pressing outer buttons on clasp
- To remove clasp from strap place pin end of removal tool into hole on outer edge of clasp and depress spring bar (some buckle styles also have this removal feature)
- Watch the video below for visual explanation
Tip: Leave a finger gap between strap and wrist. This will help with comfort throughout the day as your wrist size naturally changes.
